Barbados has a good network of roads which covers the entire island. Traffic
drives on the left. There is a speed limit of 60kmph (37mph per
hour). The road journey from Bridgetown to Speightstown takes about
30 minutes and to Holetown or Oistins about 20 minutes.
Bargain hunters will love the duty-free shops of Broad Street. Here
you will also find all major commercial banks and several restaurants.
On the western side of the city is the Cruise Terminal, and the
Bridgetown Port. Other landmarks include: St Michaels, Michael's
Cathedral, the Nidhe Isreal Synagogue, the Carnegie Library, Queen's
Park, the Central Bank and the Law Courts.

Barbados is served by British West Indian Airlines (BWIA), British Airways (BA), American Airlines (AA) Air Canada (AC), Canadian Airlines and Air Jamaica (AJ). The approximate flight times from Barbados to Toronto-Canada is 4 hours, to Miami is 3 hours 30 minutes, to New York is 5 hours, to London is 7 hours 30 minutes and to Los Angeles is 9 hours. British Airway's Concord flies to London in 4 hours.
