The island measures 21 miles at its longest and 14 miles at the widest point.
The capital of Barbados is Bridgetown, English is the local language
and the currency is the Barbados Dollar. It
is a great place to visit for its the magnificent views, beaches,
fun and a very friendly people. The population is around 265,000.
The tropical climate offers an average year round temperature about
85 degrees Fahrenheit.
The South and West coasts are bordered by the calm and warm Caribbean Sea. These coasts have white sandy beaches which lead to flats lands that grow to hills in the interior of the land. The East coast is washed by the Atlantic Ocean and tends to be a bit more rugged of a coast than the rest of Barbados.
